Maun Children's Christmas Party
2 Posted: Dec 16th at 3:36 AMA week ago today, we opened up the gates and invited 250 orphaned and vulnerable children from the Maun area into our tent for a grand Christmas celebration.

With nearly 500 guests in attendance, we enjoyed a skit put on by a team of youth from Baylor Medical Hospital in Gaberone, performance by a tribal dance group, singing and puppets by our very own Village Church children's Sound Off group, an engaging Christmas story by Pastor Matt, and the distribution of Samaritan's Purse boxes.

All of the children in attendance are either orphans or affected with HIV/AIDS or their parents are severely affected with HIV/AIDS. For many, this will be the only Christmas celebration they will attend.

We also distributed 500 meals at the conclusion of the service. We are grateful to the safari companies in and around Maun who sponsored the event and assisted greatly in planning and setup.
We even had kids running up to us after the service had ended, so proud of the toys they received. Precious. We are grateful for the opportunity to bless these little ones.
