1st Ever Balloon Ride
1 Posted: Dec 28th at 8:31 AMGod is so great! We had an awesome Christmas surprise a couple weeks ago.
Matt and I were sitting at a local restaurant drinking coffee and writing curriculum with our newly hired translator and video teacher guru, Nompendulo. We're doing our thing with our Bibles and computers out, brainstorming and then typing away.
This guy walks up to us and asks what we do here. We explain we work with kids at one of the local churches. He says, "You see, I am wanting to start a hot air ballooning business up here in Maun. Tomorrow morning we'll take a test flight. I saw your Bibles ...and thought you might be missionaries. Would you be interested in accompanying us?"
We were all googley eyed! Are you kidding?!? Would we like to join you?? Of course! So exciting! How cool is that?!? Matt and I had actually considered going on a ballooning ride in Namibia when we visited, but it was so expensive we decided against it. God heard... and hooked us up! I took photos and Matt got video. It was a very cool experience.
